1-month basic Data Analyst course — Excel, SQL, Python (Pandas) and simple dashboards. 1-hour live classes.
Syllabus (1 Month · ~20 sessions · 1 hr each)
Week 1 — Excel for Analysis
- Session 1: Data analysis overview, role of a Data Analyst
- Session 2: Excel basics — formulas, absolute/relative refs
- Session 3: Important functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, COUNTIF)
- Session 4: Pivot tables & charts
- Session 5: Data cleaning in Excel, practice dataset
Week 2 — SQL Basics
- Session 6: Databases intro, install (MySQL / SQLite)
- Session 7: SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, LIMIT
- Session 8: Aggregations (COUNT, SUM, AVG), GROUP BY
- Session 9: JOINs (INNER, LEFT) basics
- Session 10: Practice queries on sample DB
Week 3 — Python for Data (Pandas)
- Session 11: Python refresh + Jupyter / Colab setup
- Session 12: Pandas — Series, DataFrame, read CSV
- Session 13: Filtering, sorting, missing values
- Session 14: Groupby, basic stats, simple plots (matplotlib)
- Session 15: Practice — clean & analyze a dataset
Week 4 — Visualization & Project
- Session 16: Power BI / Tableau intro — connect data, basic visuals
- Session 17: Building a simple dashboard
- Session 18: Storytelling with data & report structure
- Session 19: Mini project (sales / student / marketing dataset analysis + dashboard)
- Session 20: Project review, revision & assessment
Outcome: Analyze data with Excel & SQL, use basic Pandas, build a simple dashboard and present insights.
